A single motivated person with coding talent and unlimited time will always be able to fix a single problem for a single product faster than a team who has to support many problems over many products with limited time. However, if your point is that the Mx5518 would be a better mouse for him than the MX, I could buy into that to the degree that he was not looking for some of the game-specific features found only in the latter.
Smoke I think my point was the G5 is the better mouse for him than the MX I waited a couple months for a Universal version of LCC, and didn’t much like it.

But at the same time, they seem to be offering fewer of their higher end mice with Mac support. His site does promise a new upgrade, but that’s been over a year ago. I ,x518 my mx and I’m now using a mx instead, but I will be very reluctant to buy another logitech product after this and the issues with my mx revolution.
